Location: Cleveland, OH

ATI Aviation Services is a full-service, self-contained, FAA/EASA-approved landing gear maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in Cleveland, Ohio, centrally located in North America.
ATI was founded in 2001 with the strategic vision of offering a full range of on-site services designed to meet mission-critical landing gear and component requirements for commercial, military, and regional aircrafts. All components are processed in our 55,000-square foot facility, allowing ATI to take full accountability and responsibility for our clients’ repairs with reliable and timely turnaround, while passing the cost savings on to our clients.

Summary: Full-time, first shift position opening for a spray painter with experience painting to OEM and Government specifications. This is not a fast pace production, but one that focuses on painting all parts to a high degree of quality for the aerospace industry.

Salary: Hourly wage negotiable based on experience

Job Type: Full time employee (Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm)

Responsibilities:
• Strong buffing and polishing skills
• Ability to spray a variety of paints and finishes
• Selects finish ingredients and mixes them by hand or machine to obtain specified color or shade to specifications or match existing finish
• Calculates mix ratios in order to mix sealant, filler materials, and paint
• Must have experience cutting and buffing polyesters, urethanes, and acrylic clear coats
• Applies primer, topcoat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to detailed parts, sub-assemblies and major assemblies and to company specifications and industry quality standards
• Polishes and waxes finished surfaces by cutting and buffing finished surfaces
• Demonstrate competency in applying the following to perform normal job duties
• Familiar with and have operational knowledge of department tools
• Performs moderately complex to complex filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked
• Removes excess material and prepares the surface for finishing
• Performs difficult masking operations
• Documents the work performed on the work orders
• Seeks methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements:
• High school or GED
• Aircraft painting experience highly desired
• Automotive refinishing experience desired, aircraft painting experience a plus
• Requires excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Experience:
• Automotive refinishing: 3 years (Preferred)
• Touch up/color matching: 3 years (Preferred)
• Aircraft paint: 1 year (Preferred)
